About the Author

I grew up in the wonderful seaside town of Ballybunion in the Kingdom of Kerry and have been involved in frontline emergency response for more than forty years both in a professional and voluntary capacity. As someone who has worked with the Fire & Rescue Service, Voluntary Ambulance Service, The Coast Guard and a Sea & Cliff Rescue Unit dealing with everything from fires to missing persons and major emergencies, one sees and does things routinely that the average person couldn’t even imagine. I am also a Healthcare Provider Instructor, First Aid Instructor and Fire Warden & Fire Safety tutor for over 16 years. Every day brings a new experience.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom. Over the years, I’ve toyed with the idea of writing a fictional book drawing on my experience from the world of blue lights and sirens in a way that hopefully will appeal to the anyone even remotely interested in emergency response. Bellrock Cove is definitely full of action and suspense, written in a most beautiful, magical and inspirational part of Ireland.

When I wrote Advanced First Aid for First Responder on Scene , I deliberately kept it simple and easy to navigate through. From an Instructors point of view, simplicity is key to understanding and learning, and the learner will benefit greatly and have a good understanding of what it is to be a competent responder.
